Charles Cervantes has the lead role in
implementing the DoD Strategic Plan
and Executive Order 13360 for Service-
Disabled Veteran-owned Small
Businesses.
Mr. Cervantes was in private practice
from 1981 until his appointment to his current post where he
represented small businesses, a chamber of commerce and trade
associations.
Charles’ prior federal service was from 1979 through 1981 in
Washington, DC, where he served as Counselor for Legal Affairs to
an Ambassador At Large at the US Department of State. Charles
also served as Attorney-Advisor at HEW from 1973 through 1978,
advising on the administration of federal contracts and grants and
the promulgation of regulations.
Charles graduated from the University of Texas School of Law in
1973. He received his B.A. from the University of Texas in 1969. In
1969 he enlisted in the US Army and National Guard, serving in the
371st Airborne Support Battalion. He received an Honorable
Discharge in 1973. |
