Mr. Burke entered the Army in 1972 as
a Second Lieutenant. For over 26
years, he served in a variety of troop
and staff assignments. He has been a
Special Assistant to two Army Chiefs of
Staff and retired from the Army in 1998
as the Chief of Legislative Liaison for
the Army Budget. After retirement, Mr. Burke served on the
personal staff of Senator Ted Stevens (R-Alaska) and as a
professional staff member in the United States Senate. He now
serves as the Director of Operations and Programs in the Veterans
Employment and Training Service of the U.S. Department of Labor.
